Man Injured In Late-Night Motorcycle Crash Dies In Local Hospital

WACO (February 4, 2013)—A man who was seriously injured in a late-night motorcycle accident in Waco later died in a local hospital police said Monday.

Police identified the rider as Robert Darnell Garrett, 56, of Waco.

Garrett was riding a 2000 Yamaha motorcycle south on North 18th Street at around 10:45 p.m. Friday when he failed to negotiate a curve in the road between Wilson and McFerrin Avenues and the bike crashed.

He was not wearing a helmet, police said.

He was taken to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center where he died Saturday morning, police said.
