Man Killed While Trying To Cross Interstate Identified

WACO (November 11, 2012)—Richard Alan Grates, 66, of Waco was the man who was killed Sunday night when a car struck him as he tried to cross Interstate 35, police said Tuesday.

Grates was trying to cross the highway between the 4th Street exit and the 18th Street exit when a southbound 2007 Dodge Caliber struck him.

The man who was driving the car and his passenger were not inured.

The accident closed down a lane of the interstate Sunday night.
