SAN ANTONIO (July 13, 2014) Police were investigating Sunday after a man was shot to death at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio following a confrontation with a hotel guest.
The man who was killed was evidently breaking ceiling lights in a hallway of the hotel when he got into an argument with another man, police Chief William McManus said.
The man followed the hotel guest to his room and knocked on the door until the guest opened it, McManus said.
When the man tried to barge in, he was shot to death, McManus said.
Officer Douglas Greene said the hotel guest who fired the shot had a concealed handgun license.
Greene said the department hadn't yet decided whether to treat the shooting as murder or a justifiable homicide.
