WACO (May 22, 2013)--A man wanted in connection with a high-speed chase Sunday during which two Mart police officers were injured turned himself in to McLennan County Sheriff Parnell McNamara Wednesday at around noon Wednesday.

McLennan County Chief Deputy Matt Cawthon said McNamara took Teddie Davenport to the county jail himself and booked him in.

Cawthon said Davenport asked to be taken into custody by the sheriff and McNamara obliged.

Davenport, 43, had been the subject of a manhunt since Sunday after the two officers were injured when he rammed their patrol car with his pickup truck during the case, authorities said.

Both officers were taken to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center for treatment and were later released.
