Man Stabbed During Robbery At Local Laundry

TEMPLE (July 30, 2012)—Investigators were looking for leads Monday after a 27-year-old Temple man was stabbed during a struggle with a robber in the parking lot of a local laundry.

The robber approached the victim at around 10:50 p.m. Friday in the parking lot of Christa’s Laundry in the 2100 block of West Avenue M and demanded some personal items, police said.

A struggle ensued and the victim was stabbed once in the leg.

The robber fled toward the east as other customers emerged from the laundry.

The victim, whose name wasn’t released, was treated at Scott & White Hospital and then later released.

The robber was tall, black and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.

Investigators are asking anyone with information to call the Temple Police Department at (254) 298-5500.
