WACO (January 15, 2013)--A Dallas County man was held Tuesday in the McLennan County Jail after Waco police arrested him on an outstanding warrant charging murder.

Juan Pineda Reynosa, 39, was ordered held in lieu of bonds totaling $251,000 on the felony murder warrant and on other warrants charging assault family violence, possession of cocaine, possession of a controlled substance in a penal institution, and on an immigration detainer without bond, online jail records show.

Jail records show Reynosa was booked into the jail just before 4 a.m. Tuesday after a Waco police officer arrested him.

Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said officers from the street crimes unit were notified by Dallas police officers that Reynosa might be in Waco and acting on that tip they began surveillance on a garage apartment on the 2200 block of Flint Avenue.

Sometime close to midnight Monday night officers saw Reynosa at the address and arrested him without incident, Swanton said.
