IRVING (July 26, 2012)—A man wanted in connection with a hit-and-run crash that killed a moped rider in Nevada was in custody Thursday in Texas.
U.S. Marshals arrested Candido Aniceto-Trejo on Wednesday in Irving in the July 7 crash that killed Eric Thomas, 44, on McCarran near Northtowne Lane in Reno, Nev., authorities said.
Marshals also recovered the SUV believed to have been involved in the accident.
Thomas was riding in a bike lane at the time of the accident, police said.
Thomas and his moped remained attached to the SUV for several hundred feet before separating, police said.
