COLLEGE STATION (November 1, 2012)—Texas A&M University issued a campus-wide alert at 4:40 p.m. Thursday while police searched for an armed man who was spotted on campus.
The man, who was described as white, in his late 40s with light-colored hair, was last seen near the University Center garage, the alert said.
He was carrying what looked like a handgun with a wooden handle, the alert said, and was wearing a lime green short sleeve button shirt.
The alert said he’s about 5-foot-5 and has a skinny build.
Just before 5:30 another alert was sent that said the man had not been located.
It advised people on campus to resume activities.
