Man Arrested After Ex-Girlfriend is Beaten During a Break-In

KILLEEN (July 10, 2012) --- A man was behind bars Tuesday facing charges after his ex-girlfriend called police when she was beaten in her own apartment.

Killeen police were called to an apartment in the 1500 block of Mulford Street near East Dean Avenue on Saturday for a reported burglary.

An affidavit states that when officers got on scene they found a woman who told them her ex-boyfriend had forced his way through the screen door of her apartment and physically assaulted her.

The woman told officers she was hit in the face, thrown to the floor and kicked several times.

The affidavit states officers could see that the woman had injuries to her head and face and had dried blood in her hair.

Richard Jensen was charged on Monday.

His bond was set at $100,000.
