WACO (April 12, 2011)—A man was stunned with a police Taser early Tuesday after a traffic stop on North Waco.
Officers reported they stopped a vehicle at New Road and Colcord Avenue at about 4:20 a.m. and the driver attempted to run from officers.
Police used a Taser to subdue the man and then arrested him.
Police have not yet released the man’s name.
Officers requested East Texas Medical Center EMS and the man was treated at the scene.
The driver was taken to McLennan County Jail where he was charged with evading arrest and possession of a controlled substance.
