Masked Man Armed With Handgun Robs Central Texas Bank

CORSICANA (October 18, 2012)—Authorities released surveillance photos late Thursday afternoon of a man who robbed a bank in Corsicana earlier in the day.

The man walked into the Chase Bank at 101 North Beaton in Corsicana at around 9 a.m. Thursday, displayed a handgun concealed under his shirt and demanded money.

He escaped through a rear door and fled north on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, authorities said.

No one was hurt.

The man was black and was wearing a white skull-type mask, a brown short sleeve shirt, plaid shorts and tennis shoes.

He was 35-40 years old with a medium build, police said.

Investigators are asking anyone with information about the man or his whereabouts to call the Corsicana Police Department at (903) 654-4902.

A reward of as much as $1,000 is offered for credible information, police said.
