McLennan County Loses Another Top Official

MCLENNAN COUNTY(September 10, 2012)—McLennan County lost another top official today. County Treasurer Danny Volcik announced his resignation today.

Volcik made the announcement in his office this morning with a letter to the county judge and commissioners.

Commissioners are will take in applications for the position. Volcik says he resigning for health reasons. He has been McLennan County Treasurer for a year and eight months.

This comes after County Judge Jim Lewis announced his resignation last month. Commissioners have not yet filled that position and are still taking applications.
