COLORADO CITY (May 19, 2013)--Hundreds were expected to attend a memorial Sunday for a Texas middle school cheerleader whose remains were found more than two years after she disappeared.
Family, friends and supporters of Hailey Darlene Dunn, 13, gather Sunday at Colorado Middle School to bid a final farewell to the teenager, who disappeared in December 2010.
Dunn's remains were found March 16 near Lake J.B. Thomas in Scurry County, about 20 miles northwest of the teenager’s hometown of Colorado City.
Authorities announced the remains were Dunn's April 26.
Officials have not released a manner and cause of death.
No arrests have been made.
Authorities initially named Shawn Adkins as a person of interest.
He was Hailey's mother's boyfriend when the teenager disappeared.
He has not been charged.
