TEMPLE (October 25, 2013) A bomb threat led to the partial evacuation of the Central Counties MHMR Center Friday in Temple.
Employees were all back at work by 1 p.m. Friday, authorities said.
The partial evacuation was ordered a man called the office a little bit after noon Friday and said MHMR officials had "an undetermined amount of time to find a bomb in the building,” Temple police Cpl. Christopher Wilcox said.
Shortly before that, a caller believed to be the same man reported that the building across the street from the MHMR center at 304 South 22nd St. was on fire.
The fire call was bogus, authorities said, and a sweep of the center proved that the bomb threat was unfounded, Wilcox said.
Wilcox said investigators were reviewing telephone records to try to pinpoint where and from whom the calls might have come.
No one was injured.
