ARLINGTON (July 26, 2013)—Police in Arlington police were investigating Friday after a man with mental disabilities was found dead inside a hot SUV parked outside of the group home where he lived.
The man was found in a sport utility vehicle Thursday afternoon outside a group home where people with special needs were cared for, Police spokeswoman Tiara Richard said.
Richard said the man, who has not been identified, was in his late 20s or early 30s but had "the mental capacity of a young child."
Investigators believe that a group of people went out in the SUV Thursday morning and that some were dropped off somewhere off-site, but the man evidently didn't get out with the others.
The SUV then returned to the group home.
An employee who went to the SUV later found the man unresponsive.
