BLACK MOUNTAIN, N.C. (August 25, 2012)—The bodies of a Henderson County, N.C. doctor and her husband have been found in a hotel room in Galveston, nearly a week after they disappeared, authorities said.
Investigators with the Galveston County Medical Examiners Office said a hotel employee found Leslie Cargile, 53, and her husband William, 58, on Friday.
Their room was locked from the inside.
Authorities said the deaths don't appear to be homicides, but they’re awaiting autopsy results.
Investigators say a number of medicine samples were found in the couple's room.
The couple was last seen on Aug. 18.
They were reported missing Monday morning after Leslie Cargile didn't show up at her clinic to see patients.
