SAN ANTONIO (August 29, 2014) San Antonio police were investigating Friday after a teenager who had been reported missing was found dead in tall grass along a trail.
The 19-year-old victim was found Thursday.
His family had reported him missing earlier in the day, San Antonio Police Chief William McManus said.
McManus said family members went to the trail where the man was known to hang out and found the body.
"He's lying just off the trail, very visible, in the high grass."
McManus said the gunshot wound did not appear to be self-inflicted.
He said the killing appears to have taken place on the trail and that police have a possible motive, but he declined to disclose it.
McManus says the man and his family live near the trail.
