CALDWELL (March 27, 2014) Caldwell Elementary School students will be temporarily relocated after the discovery of mold and mildew in the building.

Parents were advised of the problem on March 20, a parent meeting was held Tuesday and additional information will be sent out on Friday, according to a detailed letter from Superintendent Janet Cummings.

Cummings called the temporary relocation precautionary.

Elementary school classes will be cancelled on Monday and Tuesday to facilitate the temporary move.

Activities will be provided at the school on those days for children whose parents can’t arrange for childcare.

On Wednesday pre-K children will attend class at the First Baptist Church of Caldwell, kindergarten students will be housed at the First United Methodist Church, first grade students will attend class at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and second graders will be housed at Elizabeth Lutheran Church.

Parents should drop off and pick up students at the elementary school as usual.

Students and teachers will be bused to the temporary sites.

Breakfast and lunch will be served in the school’s cafeteria.
