More Than 100 Attend Vigil For 5 Texas Teens Killed In Fiery Crash

DUMAS (March 15, 2013)--Members of a rural Panhandle community are praying for five teenagers who were killed last in fiery crash and Thursday night more than 100 attended a candlelight vigil for the teens at the courthouse in Dumas, north of Amarillo.

Jacob Paul Stipe, 16, of Sunray, Derrek Lee Hager and Christopher Lee Moore, both 17 and from Sunray, and October Dawn Roys, 17, and her younger sister, Elizabeth Kay Roys, 15, were killed Sunday in a wreck near Dumas when the driver ran a stop sign and collided with a fuel tanker.

The driver of the tanker remains in critical condition.

Pastor Frank Gordoa of Cornerstone Church said the deaths have shaken the entire local community.
