COLLEGE STATION (August 15, 2012)—College Station police Officer Justin Oehlke, who was wounded in a deadly gun battle near the Texas A&M University campus, has been released from the hospital as mourners prepare to remember the county constable who died in the shooting.
Funeral arrangements for Brazos County Constable Brian Bachmann were finalized Wednesday.
Visitation for Bachmann will be Friday evening at Christ United Methodist Church in College Station.
Bachmann's funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Reed Arena at Texas A&M, which has a total seating capacity of 12,500.
Officer Rhonda Seaton said both are open to the public.
Bachmann was killed Monday as he served an eviction notice at a rental house near the campus.
A bystander, Chris Northcliff, was also shot to death.
Officers killed the gunman, Thomas Caffall III, 35.
Oehlke, two other College Station officers, and a woman who was helping her daughter move, were wounded.
Hospital officials Wednesday did not immediately update the condition of Barbara Holdsworth of Houston, who has a shoulder wound.
