COPPERAS COVE (July 10, 2014) Copperas Cove Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of as much as $1,000 for information leading to arrests and prosecution in a series of incidents in which air conditioners were either stolen or vandalized.
Two older women, both of whom are white, driving a newer model crossover or SUV, which is also white, may be responsible, police said.
Estimate damage and losses to date totals about $11,000 police said.
Thieves typically target air conditioners for the copper tubing and wiring.
Investigators are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at (254) 547-1111.
