WACO (April 4, 2014) A Waco man was in custody Friday after an early-morning raid on a home in a North Waco neighborhood.

Edward Outley, 39, was arrested just after 6 a.m. after Waco police Drug Enforcement Unit officers raided a home in the 1100 block of Trice Avenue, Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said.

Swanton said officers seized 6.8 ounces of cocaine, an unspecified amount of marijuana and two handguns, one of which had an obliterated serial number.

An ambulance was sent to the address when Outley complained officers injured his back when they handcuffed him.

Outley is facing possession of a controlled substance and other unspecified charges, Swanton said.
