HOUSTON (August 27, 2013)—Police were looking for three gunmen Tuesday after a holdup at a Denny's in Houston that left a customer dead and an employee wounded.
Police spokesman John Cannon said Tuesday that the two victims were taken to a hospital after they were shot during the robbery.
The customer later died.
His name wasn't immediately released.
Cannon had no immediate details on the male employee who was also shot Monday night after three armed men wearing masks and gloves entered the restaurant.
The gunmen forced everyone to the floor and took wallets, cellphones and other valuables from the victims and cash from the registers.
Police say at least one gunman opened fire in the restaurant before the three ran to a minivan and drove away.
Houston police were reviewing surveillance video from the business.
