Harker Heights (July 31,2014) A man, 28, was taken to the hospital after he had been shot in an apparent drive by shooting early Thursday morning at a Harker Heights home.
Harker Heights police were called to a residence in the 200 block of West Valley Road just after midnight to reports of shot fired.
The victim was inside the house when he was shot on the lower part of his body, police said.
He was taken to Scott & White Memorial hospital in Temple, and is in stable condition.
The suspects remain at large, police said. Detectives are looking for three possible suspects who shot at the home, then fled in a dark colored vehicle in an unknown direction.
Investigators found dozens of shell casings on the scene.
Police spent about two hours investigating, and interviewing witnesses.
No other injuries were reported.
