Rollover On Wet Rural Road Leaves Woman Dead, 3 Others Hurt

A rollover early Thursday afternoon on a wet rural road left a woman dead and sent three others including two children to a local hospital.

BELL COUNTY (June 26, 2014) A woman died and another adult and two children were injured Thursday afternoon in a one-vehicle crash on a rural Bell County highway.

Department of Public Safety troopers were sent just after noon Thursday to Old State Highway 95, one mile north of Farm-to-Market Road 93, just south of the Temple city limits.

The woman, who was driving the car, died at the scene.

The woman was identified as Hazel Nopupi, 66, of Little River.

The other adult and two children were taken by ambulance to Baylor Scott and White Medical Center, in Temple, for treatment, but information about their conditions wasn’t immediately available.

The names of the victims weren’t released.

Old Highway 95 was blocked because of the accident, but has since been reopened.

Rain was falling in the area at the time of the rollover and the road was wet.
