Parents Accused Of Keeping Texas Boy, 5, Locked In Closet

SPRING (March 31, 2014) A 5-year-old suburban Houston boy was hospitalized Monday with bumps and bruises and severe malnutrition after authorities say he was kept locked in a closet.

His father and stepmother have been charged.

Their arrests came after Harris County deputies responded last week to a disturbance call involving Bradley Bleimeyer, 24, and his 16-year-old stepson.

The teenager told officers his younger stepbrother was being neglected and locked inside a closet.

Deputies found the closet, but authorities say the stepmother, Tammi Bleimeyer, 33, left with the boy before they arrived.

She was found the next day at a motel.

She was free Monday on a $2,000 bond after she was charged with child endangerment.

Her husband was held without bond.

He was free on bond on a burglary charge at the time of his arrest.
