STILLHOUSE HOLLOW LAKE (October 12, 2012)--Bell County sheriff's deputies were investigating the discovery of a body that a passer-by found Friday morning on a roadside near the Stillhouse Hollow Reservoir dam.

Farm-to-Market Road 1670 was restricted to one lane of traffic northbound Friday morning while deputies were investigating.

Crime scene tape was placed around the scene about a mile south of the dam, and a bag was covered with a drape.

Deputies at the scene weren't talking about the investigation.

The discovery was reported at around 9:30 a.m. Friday.

Bell County Justice of the Peace Don Engleking told News 10 he pronounced the unidentified person dead at 10 a.m. and ordered the body taken to Southwest Institute of Forensic Science, in Dallas, for autopsy.

Engleking said the death is under investigation and would not discuss details including the gender of the person and whether there was any indication of foul play.
