HOUSTON (July 14, 2014) Authorities were investigating Monday after a Houston man died in a glider crash Sunday.
Rokki Ford Roberts, 67, piloted a glider that departed Sunday afternoon from the Greater Houston Soaring Association airport, authorities said.
A group of gliders was flying together when Roberts' glider went down in an open field about 40 miles west of Houston near the Fort Bend-Austin County line.
The cause of the crash is unclear.
Federal Aviation Administration and Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating.
