Plumber Fixing Frozen Pipes At Texas Home Finds Almost $1.2 million

EL PASO (March 3, 2011)--El Paso police have counted nearly $1.2
million in alleged drug money seized from garbage bags, two safes
and the wall of a home.

Police are looking for the owner of the home.

The El Paso Times reported Thursday that an affidavit outlines
how much money was confiscated Feb. 5.

The cash was discovered by workers trying to fix broken pipes following cold weather.

Police say some of the money was coated with talcum powder and
sealed in plastic bags, in an apparent attempt to deflect drug-sniffing dogs.

Maintenance workers noticed that the condo appeared to be "not
lived in."

The affidavit, filed in court Tuesday, describes the home as unfurnished and dusty "as if no one had been there in a long time."
