Woman Stabbed In Local Restaurant Parking Lot; Attacker Was A Stranger

LAMPASAS (March 2, 2013) -- Lampasas police are investigating, after a stabbing in the parking lot of the McDonald's restaurant on South Key Avenue.

Police responded to the restaurant Saturday after a 911 caller reported a man with a knife had stabbed a woman.

On scene, police found a 54-year-old woman who had been stabbed twice in the left arm.

She was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A motive for the attack is not known.

Lampasas police say an initial investigation revealed the victim did not know the man who stabbed her.

John Roberts, 32, was arrested at the scene.

He was taken to the Lampasas County Jail, facing an aggravated assault charge in the attack.

Lampasas Police are still investigating the incident.
