HARKER HEIGHTS (March 21, 2013)—Harker Heights police were looking for leads after an armed man robbed a local loan and tax service office Thursday morning.

The robbery was reported at around 9:45 a.m. Thursday at World Finance on FM 2410 in Harker Heights,

Police say the man, who was wearing black pants, a black hooded sweatshirt and a green bandana over his face, walked in, produced a black handgun and demanded money.

The man escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Workers at a salon next door said the owner came out, said the business had just been robbed and asked if they had seen a man running through the parking lot.

No injuries were reported.

Police didn’t immediately release further details.

Investigators were reviewing surveillance footage from a camera at a nearby Dairy Queen restaurant.
