Police Search Sunday For Armed Robbers

By: Paul J. Gately Email

WACO (December 23, 2012)—Police were searching Sunday for two men, one of them armed, who walked into a South Waco convenience store Sunday morning and demanded cash.

Officers were sent at about 9:15 a.m. Sunday to the Convenience Food Mart, located at 600 S 11th Street, after a caller reported the store had been held up, Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said.

The clerk at the store reported two men entered the business, both with their faces covered, and took an undetermined amount of money.

One of the suspects was armed with a handgun, Swanton said.

No one was injured and police did not immediately provide a description of the men.

No arrests had been made by Sunday afternoon
