SAN ANTONIO (September 28, 2012)--Authorities searched a park in San Antonio for the body of an 8-month-old Arizona boy who’s been missing since December 2009.
San Antonio police officers and volunteers searched Friedrich Wilderness Park on Thursday morning.
A police spokeswoman said the park was "searched exhaustively" for several hours, but nothing was found.
The search was conducted after police say they received an unidentified tip.
The missing boy's mother, Elizabeth Johnson, 26, is being tried in a Phoenix court on charges of kidnapping and conspiracy to commit custodial interference.
Johnson first said she smothered her infant son Gabriel and put him in the trash.
She later recanted and said she gave the baby to a couple in San Antonio.
Authorities still don't know whether the boy is alive.
