WACO ( September 21, 2013 )--An elderly Waco woman who disappeared Saturday night has been found and was taken to a local hospital.
Waco police Sgt. Patrick Swanton said Mamie Pecina, 68, wandered away from her home at around 5:30 p.m. Saturday near North 34th Street and Bosque Boulevard.
She was last seen in the Guthrie Park area.
Family members found her Saturday night near Cameron Park, police said late Saturday night.
She was taken to a local hospital for treatment of an unspecified minor injury, police said.
Police say Pecina has dementia and they thought she might have been headed for the Gholson area.
