JACINTO CITY (March 21, 2013)--A teenager wanted in a shooting that left two Houston-area police officers injured was shot and captured late Wednesday night, authorities said.

Officers shot Edgar Omar Cuellar, 17, at a home in Jacinto City.

Police say Cueller fired at officers before three tactical officers returned fire, wounding him.

Authorities say Cuellar and the two Jacinto City officers who were shot Wednesday night have injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

The officers were shot while attempting to speak to Cuellar in a deadly conduct investigation about gunfire earlier this week.

Jacinto City police Chief Joe Ayala says officers tried to question Cuellar as relatives attempted to restrain him.

A male and a female officer were shot before the teenager fled.

Ayala didn't immediately release more details Thursday.
