Power Outage Closes Some Local Government Offices

WACO (January 14, 2013)—A power outage caused by a damaged utility pole forced some City of Waco offices to close Monday.

The pole was damaged in a traffic accident early Monday at North 3rd Street and Bosque Boulevard.

Oncor told the city it could be late afternoon before power is restored.

The outage affected the Waco McLennan County Public Health District’s offices, Waco’s Municipal Court and Waco’s Parks and Recreation Department at 201 West Waco Drive.

Other details weren’t immediately available.
