Pregnant Central Texas Woman Hit By Truck, Loses Unborn Baby

ROCKDALE (October 23, 2012)--A pregnant woman who was struck by a truck in Rockdale as she pushed her twins in a stroller was in stable condition Tuesday at Scott & White Hospital in Temple, police said.

The twins escaped injury, but the woman, who was six months pregnant at the time of the accident, was seriously hurt and lost her unborn infant after undergoing surgery, police said.

The accident happened at around 12:30 a.m. Saturday on Mill Street in Rockdale, police said.

Mark Talley, of Rockdale, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated in connection with the accident.

He was released from the Milam County Jail after posting $70,000 bond.
