(File)

WACO (February 22, 2012)—Preliminary autopsy reports released Wednesday say that Ashley Dawn Rogers, 27, and her children Madisyn Marie Megginson, 4, and 8-month-old Gage Megginson died of burns and smoke inhalation in a mobile home fire last Thursday night in Waco.

Rogers’ son Kaiden, 2, whom a neighbor rescued from the flames, was released from the hospital over the weekend.

The Waco Fire Department and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are investigating the fire, which broke out at around 6:30 p.m. last Thursday in the mobile home at 6312 N. 19th Street in Bosqueville.

Three firefighters, one who suffered first-degree steam burns, another suffered second-degree steam burns and a third who suffered heat exhaustion, were taken to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center.

They were all treated and released.

A fourth firefighter was treated at the scene for heat exposure burns.

A neighbor was also taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.

An account has been set up at Members Choice Federal Credit Union in Waco to help the families of the victims with funeral expenses.

Any additional money raised will go to Rogers’ surviving children.
