MILANO (December 20, 2012)--All three Milano schools were on lockdown Thursday after a report of a possible shooting threat that later proved to be unfounded.

The Milano ISD’s superintendent's secretary said Thursday morning they were notified of the possible threat and responded by locking down the district’s elementary, middle and high schools.

Authorities determined the threat was unfounded by around 8:30 a.m. Thursday, but schools remained on lockdown as a precaution.

Students must stay inside the buildings and no one else is allowed to enter for the rest of the day Thursday.
