CONROE (January 21, 2013)—An unsecured vehicle that workers were cleaning at a car wash in Conroe struck and killed a 72-year-old woman.
Juana Gonzalez and her family were waiting for their truck at the car wash in Conroe on Saturday when an attendant accidentally put the vehicle in drive instead of neutral just before placing it on an automated car wash track.
Conroe police say the vehicle sped through the car wash and ended up striking Gonzalez, who was about 50 feet away.
Gonzalez died at the scene.
No other injuries were reported, police said.
