Woman Trapped In Vehicle After I-35 Rollover Accident

SALADO (December 6, 2012)- A woman was taken to a local hospital following a one-car rollover accident on the Interstate Thursday night.

The wreck happened just after 8:30 p.m. Thursday on Interstate 35 near Salado Road.

The woman was driving on the northbound side of the Interstate and hit a concrete barrier, police said.

The car then flipped and a passenger in the vehicle was trapped in the wreckage, police said.

Crews used the the Jaws of Life to get the passenger out of the car, police said.

She was taken to Scott and White Hospital in Temple with minor injuries.

Traffic in the area was backed up while crews cleared the scene.
