December 19, 2012)—Scattered power outages were reported Wednesday in Central Texas, probably as a result of the gusty south wind.
Three outages affecting more than 170 customers were reported in Waco; 20 outages were affecting about 50 customers in Temple; three outages were affecting a handful of customers in Killeen, and two in McGregor were affecting about 40 customers.

A wind advisory was in effect until 6 p.m. for most of Central Texas.
The National Weather Service said south winds will blow at speeds of 20 to 30 miles per hour through the afternoon with gusts as high as 40 miles per hour.
