GATESVILLE (May 6, 2014) One child was slightly injured Tuesday morning when a Gatesville school bus and another car were involved in a minor accident.
Gatesville fire Chief Billy Vaden said first responders were sent at around 7 a.m. to the 2000 block of Waco Street where a child was when a special needs school bus backed into another car.
Vaden said the child was getting out of a car that had pulled up behind the bus when the bus started backing out and hit the car's door, which then hit the child.
Vaden said the child's injuries appeared to be minor, but he was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
No one on the bus was hurt.
