ROBINSON (October 10, 2012)-A second man has been arrested in connection with the July beating death of Matthew Ray Easley, 56, who was attacked in his home in Robinson.

Shane Tyler Sims, 28, was arrested on a warrant charging murder and was listed Wednesday on the McLennan County Jail log.

His bond has not yet been set.

On July 13, Clinton Douglas Mills, 30, of Hewitt, was arrested on an aggravated assault warrant stemming from the attack and the charge later was upgraded to murder, police said.

A McLennan County Jail records clerk said Wednesday Mills posted a $500,000 bond on the murder charge and was released.

He was returned return to jail on Oct. 4 on a driving while intoxicated charge out of Travis County.

He posted bond on the charge and was released.

Relatives found Easley unconscious in his home just before noon on July 11.

He died several days later at a local hospital after he was taken off life support.

Easley was the victim of an earlier attack in August 2010.

Police don't believe the two were related.
