KILLEEN (January 15, 2013)—A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Killeen City Cemetery at 2800 East Rancier for Baby Jane Doe, the newborn infant who was found dead in December in a restroom at the Walmart Supercenter in Killeen.

“Several businesses have come forward and donated their time and services to give this child a proper burial,” police said in a press release Tuesday.

Crawford Bowers Funeral Home is handling the arrangements and the service is open to the public, police said.

An employee found the newborn’s body just before 2 p.m. on Dec. 7 in a restroom at the rear of the store at 1400 Lowe’s Blvd.

Bell County Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke pronounced the infant dead and ordered an autopsy.

Police searched unsuccessfully for mother because they feared she might have needed medical attention.
