WACO (November 5, 2013) Eastbound traffic on the Loop 340 access road in Waco was slowed Tuesday after an 18-wheeler turning onto the roadway struck a bridge rail and became stuck on the guardrail.
The accident happened just after 9:30 a.m. at the intersection of access roads for Loop 340 and westbound U.S. Highway 84.
No one was injured.
Police said the truck driver turned too sharply and the rear wheels of her trailer went on top of the guardrail and became stuck.
The guardrail was damaged and there was some minor chipping to the concrete substructure but there was no damage to the bridge structure.
Waco firefighters were sent to the scene to clean up a fuel spill that resulted from the accident.
