Sheriff Releases Identity Of Man Found Drowned In Brazos River

WACO (September 20, 2012)—Authorities have released the identity of a man whose body was found last week just south of Waco in the Brazos River.

Sheriff Larry Lunch said the body had been positively identified as that of William Wake, who friends said lived nearby.

Crews from the Waco Fire Department and McLennan County Sheriff's Office were sent out at about 7 p.m. on Sept. 13 to Riverview RV Park at 735 Honey Lane after a man was reported missing.

According to the Waco Fire Department, after a short search crews were able to recover a body from the Brazos River.
