LAMPASAS (January 30, 2013)—Two more men have been arrested in connection with the Sunday shooting death of a Copperas Cove man who died on a rural road in Lampasas County.

The Lampasas County Sheriff’s Office confirmed early Wednesday Donnely Frank Richey, 27, and Jason Lee Martell, 38, both of Lampasas, were being held in the Lampasas County Jail Wednesday morning in connection with the Sunday shooting death of Curtis Lee Shed Jr., 43, of Copperas Cove.

Both men were ordered held on $150,000 bond each, charged with murder.

Bobby Ray Stratton, 22, remained Wednesday morning in Lampasas County Jail in lieu of a $150,000 bond charged with murder.

Frank Muns, 30, was wounded in the incident and remained hospitalized at Scott and White Hospital, in Temple, recovering from his injuries but was in custody.

According to a news release issued Tuesday afternoon by the sheriff’s office, "Investigators now believe that all parties involved in the offense have been identified and arrested or questioned."

Shed and two other men got into an altercation early Sunday with a group of people at a location on Lampasas County Road 3300, sheriff's officials said Monday.

The altercation escalated and shots were fired.

After the shooting Shed's companions drove back to Copperas Cove with Shed's body in the vehicle, sheriff's officials said.

Someone later found Shed's body in the backseat of a Chevrolet Malibu that was parked at the Town Oaks RV Park, on East U.S. Highway 190, in Lampasas County and called Copperas Cove police who in turn advised authorities in Lampasas.

Muns and Stratton were arrested on Sunday in Lampasas, the release stated.

Muns was taken to Scott & White Hospital for treatment and Stratton was taken to the Lampasas County Jail, sheriff's officials said.

Stratton has been charged with murder and charges were pending Monday against Muns, authorities said.

A Lampasas County justice of the peace ordered Shed's body sent for autopsy..

The car in which his body was found was sent to the Texas Department of Public Safety Crime Lab in Austin for forensic processing, authorities said.
