SPRING (August 3, 2014) Six people were being treated for gunshot wounds after two groups of men exchanged dozens of shots early Sunday outside a crowded suburban nightclub in Spring, north of Texas.
Between 30 and 40 shots were fired early Sunday in a parking lot across from the club, Harris County sheriff's officials said.
Information about the nature and severity of the injuries wasn’t immediately available.
One of the victims was flown to a hospital.
The shooting evidently was the result of a dispute that started inside the club.
Sheriff's spokesman Thomas Gilliland says it was pretty irresponsible" for the shooters to open fire randomly.
Authorities were searching for the gunmen Sunday.
Cars and businesses in the area also were damaged by the gunfire.
