Shooting At Texas American Legion Post Leaves One Man Dead

HENDERSON (February 18, 2013)—A shooting at an American Legion Post in Henderson left one man dead and another in jail, charged with the slaying.

Henderson police declined to release the name of the 60-year-old man who’s in custody, facing a murder charge.

The victim was a 53-year-old Henderson man who was shot several times early Sunday while he and the other man were attending a function at the post.

He victim died at a hospital.

His name wasn't immediately released.

An autopsy was ordered.

Officers arrested the suspect later Sunday in Henderson.

Police haven’t disclosed a motive for the deadly shooting.
